Driving Change in the Financial World: Daniela Kriston, Founder and CEO of SAK Bank and Spectrumville, Paves the Way for Women’s Financial Transformation

The CEO of the “Spectrumville” phenomenon gave a ‘masterclass’ on how women can be more profitable. Daniela Kriston begins her captivating class on the art of entrepreneurship and how to be profitable, with remarkable dexterity.

Kriston’s remarkable accomplishment that sets her apart on a global scale is the creation of Spectrumville, a community of women. This initiative stemmed from the numerous challenges she faced throughout her life. Despite this adversity, she transformed it into a profitable venture.

Kriston embodies the archetype of the “Female Entrepreneur,” although this term is not enjoying its best moment. Daniela has faced moments of great mental lowness and stress, despite having been a researcher and producer for more than 30 feature films and animations.

Daniela says “Many times I wanted to drop the idea, but what I did was believe in myself, and I did not invest in myself with money, but with my time and talent. I fell and got up a thousand times; I learned from the falls as from the successes. I did it without investors, loans, or savings. It was immense pressure, and there was no way to live up to what people expected,” she explains.

She suggests that it’s beneficial to have prior work experience or leadership exposure before embarking on a business venture, along with the crucial aspect of having a well-thought-out plan. “Do you know what happens when you dive into something without a plan? It’s a recipe for disaster. I personally built my business from scratch, investing my efforts wholeheartedly. While I take pride in my accomplishments, I strongly advise having a solid plan in place,” she emphasizes, before sharing the essential elements she believes are necessary for starting a business.

Many businesses are started by finding solutions to problems. The first thing needed, which might sound obvious, is an idea. Everyone worries that others won’t like what they offer, or that they’re not the best; but remember that even experts start somewhere. The important thing is to check if the validity of the idea by sharing it. Getting feedback is helpful. It could be a prototype, a drawing, or just a description on paper. By the way, the first idea is usually the worst.

The next step is to start creating. She also emphasizes valuing something significant before fully pursuing the dream: money.

If the concept doesn’t generate profit, it can’t be considered a real business; it would just be an expensive hobby. Daniela suggests hiring experts for different aspects of the business, such as creating a logo and writing social media content. She also recommends hiring a lawyer, saying, “Everyone needs one. If you create something valuable, you need to protect it. Your business should be a separate entity from yourself,” she explains.

And this is how the journey begins. She has just founded SAK Bank, a fintech focused on providing a 100% digital banking platform, for which she has already gained support from public figures. The best thing about Daniela’s lessons is that she doesn’t invite her followers to leave everything without first having an economical mattress.

As the founder of Sak Bank and Spectrumville, Daniela Kriston is a creative visionary, entrepreneur, and industry disruptor who has forged an unprecedented path in building modern brands. Named “The New Phenomenon in Finance” by Forbes and introduced as one of the “Self Made Women,” Kriston has risen from one of the most prominent figures in retail to a cultural thought leader.

In 2013, Kriston launched 44 Studios, an audiovisual production company, which would later go bankrupt.

In 2016, Kriston launched WhiteMoon, a company specialized in content and marketing, but on the verge of bankruptcy again, she managed to sell it.

In 2018, Kriston launched OMKR Consulting, a consultancy firm that covers shortcomings in Latin America, then she would close the office due to an overload of work and a very big drop in her life and her mental health.

In 2023 along with the announcement of the newly formed Spectrumville, Kriston hosted the announcement of SAK Bank, a conference that brought together 500 women to share their wins, losses, and more. Today, Kriston is working closely with the talented team at Spectrumville and SAK Bank to help more women reframe the outdated conceptual model of “success.”

SAK Bank will settle in Silicon Valley. Kriston will release her first book in 2024.
