Lee Chambers, the founder of Essentialise, met the Prime Minister and Chancellor at the Great British Entrepreneurs Reception at 10 Downing St.

Preston entrepreneur Lee Chambers was invited 10 Downing St earlier this week, in an event to discuss conditions and challenges for scaling business. As one of the few entrepreneurs from the North in attendance, the owner of the wellbeing and inclusion training company highlighted his thoughts around transport networks and Levelling Up.

At the closed event, both Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Chancellor Jeremy Hunt shared their future projections and focus in regards to economic conditions, investment in business and how they intend to address barrier and obstacles to scaling startups. They also advised on the exporting landscape and highlighted some recent success stories.

He joined fellow entrepreneurs Jordan Brampton of MyEnergi and Sam Jones of Gener8 at the reception, as around 80 entrepreneurs and VC’s came together to discuss opportunities and challenges.

On being invited to Downing St, Chambers said, “Being selected to attend an event like this shows just how surprising things can happen when you get your head down and make an impact. Business can be challenging and just to be recognised alongside other innovative and exciting entrepreneurs is something I cherish, and to be able to represent a county often overlooked is something I’m passionate about. I’m looking forward to the continued dialogue and seeing some of things presented coming into reality.”

This is part of a busy month for the Essentialise team, after being nominated for a National Diversity Award in the Gender Role Model category, and acquiring a new national client in the legal service sector.
