Las Vegas Medicare Pros Mobile Enrollment & Registration Vehicle (MERV) Provides Contactless Medicare Health Plan Enrollment
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Las Vegas Medicare Pros wanted to be sure that seniors could still safely enroll in Medicare Health Plans. They introduced the MERV, or Mobile Enrollment & Registration Vehicle, during the Annual Election Period from October 15, 2020, until December 7, 2020, to accomplish this goal.
The MERV was retrofitted with Plexiglass dividers and viral mist sprays, and agents distributed protective gear such as full-face shields and face masks to visitors. Over the course of two months, the MERV visited sites all over Clark County senior housing and apartment communities, adult day care centers, retail locations, food banks & senior recreational centers.
“It was a pleasure to serve our senior community by sharing this innovative and healthy way of enrolling in Medicare Health Plans,” said a spokesperson for the team at Las Vegas Medicare Pros. “We will continue to make stops around Clark County to help those who are just turning 65, losing health or union coverage through their jobs, or those who have both Medicare and Medicaid as they can enroll throughout the year.”
The MERV, which was created out of necessity to meet Annual Election Period challenges during the pandemic, will serve a greater purpose now as a contactless and convenient option for seniors all over Clark County who are in need of assistance enrolling in Medicare Health Plans during the course of the year.
