“High Bread” Makes The List Of Finalists At The Annual Peachtree Village International Film Festival

John Varkados’ captivating Serio comedy, “High Bread,” catches the eyes of entertainment giants as it ranks among the finalists at the 15th annual Peachtree Village International Film Festival (PVIFF)

John Varkados has again shown his creativity and ingenuity as a multifaceted entertainer with the American film producer and singer-songwriter recently making the headlines with the short film titled “High Bread.” The movie that centers on a marijuana-based bakery in Boston is a finalist at the 15th edition of the annual Peachtree Village International Film Festival that will hold from October 29 to November 1.

The movie industry has evolved over the years, with different categories of stakeholders ranging from actors to movie producers and directors contributing their quota to keep fans entertained. John Varkados has practically taken the entertainment world by storm, as the film producer, writer, and film director has continued to create educating yet entertaining content to meet the diverse needs of the audience, and his latest project, “High Bread” substantiates this claim.

“High Bread” chronicles the story of three individuals from different backgrounds running a marijuana-based bakery in Boston. The entrepreneurs broke stereotypes about cultures through the franchise of the show- cannabis, with John Varkados and his team creating a showpiece that has caught the attention of entertainment heavyweights.

The short film was directed by Jayesh Jaidka, an Indian Director, Writer, and Actor. Jayesh is well experienced in the entertainment business, working at Shunya Theatre as Secretary before becoming the Vice President. He also has a Masters in Cinematography and Media Production from Boston University.

John Varkados is the co-creator and unit production manager of “High Bread,” showing his vast experience and professionalism as an entertainment professional. Varkados studied music theory at Berklee College of Music, specializing in music business management and artist development. He subsequently attended Boston University where he specialized in production and visual storytelling.

“High Bread” was written by Daniel Blanda, a playwright and screenwriter from Alpharetta, GA. He made the headlines after his play, Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda got several productions across the east coast, including the Actors Studio at Pace University. His works have also been featured in the New South Young Play Festival, the National Playwright Symposium at Cape May Stages, the Boston 10-Minute Play Festival, and the Boston One-Minute Play Festival.

The entertainment world awaits “High Bread” as it features on the 15th annual Peachtree Village International Film Festival (PVIFF), which will take place virtually on www.pviffatl.com.

The brains behind “High Bread” have revealed plans to turn their short film into a feature film with an ideal cast wish list such as Kunal Nayyar as Jai and Emma Watson as Zoe.
