Think and Ink Grants™ Founder Earns GPC (Grant Professional Certified) Credential

Shavonn Richardson, MBA, GPC, Founder of Think and Ink Grant Consulting™, earns the Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential from the Grant Professionals Certification Institute® (GPCI).

The GPC credential, or Grant Professional Certified credential, is an NCCA accredited program that validates knowledge and competency in the grants profession through education, experience, professional development, community involvement, and a written examination.

Shavonn shares “Now more than ever, nonprofits need to compete for funding to carry on their mission-critical activities. But most organizations have a difficult time judging the qualifications of grant professionals and selecting the right professional for their organizations.  I feel earning the Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential from the Grant Professionals Certification Institute® (GPCI) provides organizations with an added level of confidence that they are choosing a skilled and experienced grant professional that abides by ethical standards.”

Shavonn continues by sharing her experience preparing and sitting for the GPC exam. “I was fortunate to receive a GPC Scholarship from the Grant Professionals Foundation. I prepared by connecting with colleagues through study groups, completing the recommended reading, and studied for six months before sitting for the GPC exam,” she adds.

In conclusion, Shavonn feels earning her GPC will benefit current and future clients at Think and Ink Grants.  “Now that I have earned the GPC designation, my team and I are better positioned to expand and empower our clients with the tools and resources to Get.Grants.Better.®”

The Grant Professional Certification Institute’s GPC credential is the only grant credential accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
