New Report Reviews Global Hospital Practices In Pandemic Flu Response
15 JUNE, 2020 – Singapore – Eden Strategy Institute today unveiled a global review of hospital practices in dealing with flu pandemic, drawing novel and interesting insights from the current COVID-19 pandemic as well as from previous pandemics such as SARS, H1N1, and Ebola.
This research by the social innovation consultancy firm details different operational and business approaches used by leading hospitals around the globe to manage clinical risks in the current public health crisis. This extensive, 200-page report describes the innovativeness, resourcefulness, and collaboration that are helping hospitals cope with challenges such as managing surge demand for treatment and supply insufficiencies.
“Clinical and research experts are leading the frontlines in the battle against COVID-19, yet robust management of functional business areas and clinical departments has also been contributing to positive clinical outcomes,” says Mr. Calvin Chu Yee Ming, Managing Partner at Eden Strategy Institute.

This study is the first of its kind to comprehensively list out a range of different operational strategies that healthcare institutions around the globe have adopted to combat flu pandemics, and includes a toolkit with checklists, templates, and a hospital risk assessment framework to systematically evaluate risk factors in Service Excellence, Operational Resilience, and External Impact that may arise in a flu pandemic.
